IHO is the authority responsible for public health in the Indian subcontinent. It acts as a team with a range of public health stakeholders in the Region and worldwide, to make sure that harmonized action is taken to develop and implement proficient health policies and to strengthen health systems.
IHO is made up of public health, experienced and technical experts, its Region in developing and filling their national health policies, working to identify health systems and public health programmes, prevent and conquer potential threats to health; expecting future challenges and supporting public health.
Its work is a two-way exchange process, assembling best expertise from key partners, examining data and the research results to offer evidence-based public health interventions. This helps IHO to inform and advice in the most effective ways to improve the health of their populations.
